Firstly, i started off by looking up some existing walk-cycles, on the internet; through Google Images and Youtube. The research I came up with allowed me to then draw on a piece of paper each frame of a walk cycle.
Once I had figured out a rough walk-cycle on paper. I then create a basic stick-figure in Flash.
It turned out to be a run-cycle.
I then put another layer over the first run-cycle, so that it looked more realistic

I then went back to the start, because I wasn't happy with the run-cycle. I took a bit more time to create a 'marching soldier' walk-cycle.

From there, i tweaked the movement a little, to perfect it. Then added more layers on top of the original, such as detailed arms and legs, clothing and armour.
In this week's class (1/9/2010), we will be adding in the environment around the character.
I have already been playing around with moving mountains in the background and grass in the foreground. But nothing that I really want to keep in the final submission.
